Today we harvested the Regent. All looking very good. Very little rot, and a goodly weight of grapes. Budding film maker Huw Olding decided to make a film about how we make red wine...More filming tomorrow.
Grapes picked and processed today. Going to press some tomorrow to make Rose. The rest will get innoculated and under the watchful eye of Dionysus, will become gorgeous smooth red wine.
Phoenix and Orion already picked and processed and now gently bubbling. Got quite a lot of rot, which is weird as they are meant to have inherent resistance.
Olding Manor Vineyard is located in Lewisham, South East London and grows three grape varieties, Regent, Orion and Phoenix. Find out more at www.oldingmanor.co.uk
